Loved Blue Like Jazz. I've just recently gotten into reading the Message version and it's changing the way I think about the Bible.

Have you read The Myth of a Christian Nation by Greg Boyd? If not, you might enjoy it. It's mostly referring to the US political system but I thought the underlying ideas for politics were so so different than the mainstream christian view ( in a good way!)
